Some News from Beyond the Breach

So, it's been a minute since I've updated this blog. Well over a year.

With everything going on during the pandemic, I didn't really feel that I had much of interest to say. Beyond that, I really didn't know what I even wanted to say. When every single day feels exactly like the one before, it's hard to be upbeat and witty, which is how I prefer to keep this space, if only for myself.

In any case, I finally have some news that I feel merits a new blog post.

First of all, I'm about to start another round of rewrites on The Winter Court. It's been percolating around in my brain for long enough, and some friends of mine have very graciously offered to beta read for me to help focus on what those rewrites should be.

I have even had the last draft printed professionally (it's very ugly, don't get excited) to help me with those rewrites. I'm anticipating starting that in February.

My second piece of news is that I have started a book club!

We focus on mysteries and thrillers that have been written by women, and we meet virtually at 4:30 pm EST on the third Saturday of every month. This time is flexible, but it's set this way because one of our members lives in the UK, and otherwise it's very difficult for her to join. But we can talk about it and make arrangements if there's an easier time for more people.
